AUD a mover on GDP:

PBOC:
- PBOC conducts MLF: 463bn yuan, one year, 3.3%
- PBOC sets USD/ CNY reference rate for today at 6.4040 (vs. yesterday at 6.4157)
- China press reports the PBOC may cut RRR, raise MLF, Reverse repo yield
New Zealand: :
- New Zealand data: ANZ Commodity Price index for May: +1.5% m/m (prior +1.0%)
- NZ construction data for Q1 2018: -0.9% q/q (expected +0.5%)

The Canadian and Australian dollars were both small gainers today with news for both.
For Canada, the move was a little earlier in the session:
This lent a bid to the CAD for a net gain on the day, although t didn't extend much beyond a 40-off point drop for USD/CAD. As always we await further trade war developments.
AUD popped on the release of a beat for GDP data. Expectations for Q1 GDP had already been raised, so the beat was impressive ... which means the 30+ point pop for AUD/USD was, well, not very impressive. I suspect there is a little more room for it higher but so far have been left waiting ....
Elsewhere it was a sedate news, data and forex movement session: EUR, CHF, GBP, NZD .... all have had a wiggle or so but small ranges only. USD/JPY, pretty much ditto - it remains capped ahead of 110 but it does appear to be setting up for an assault on the big figure.
