Australian CPI in 20 minutes: expect a sharp increase in volatility

I’m not sure I agree with Terry McCrann about the overriding importance of today’s CPI number but I must say that he has been very close to the money in recent months; he seems to have top-class contacts. Keep a close eye on the underlying number as that will tell us a lot about how the RBA is likely to react next month.
