• UK Times reports - hedge funds eavesdrop on vital BoE briefings

Bank of England statement now, headlines via Reuters

• recently identified that an audio feed of certain of bank press conferences has been misused by third party supplier since earlier this year
• "wholly unacceptable use of the audio feed was without the bank's knowledge or consent, and is being investigated further"
• on identifying audio feed misuse, the bank immediately disabled the third party supplier's access
• the third party supplier did not have any access to the most recent press conference
