US stocks open mixed. Dow down on Boeing. Nasdaq and S&P higher

Boeing trading down. Dow would be positive sans Boeing

The US stocks are opening mixed largely as a result of Boeing being down after the plane crash in Ethiopia over the weekend. Without Boeing, the Dow would be higher.

The numbers are showing:

• S&P index up 10.25 points or 0.38% at 2753.41
• NASDAQ up 41.66 points or 0.56% at 7449.81
• Dow down -195 points or -0.70% at 25256

Boeing shares are trading down around 12% on the day.
