US stock market open 14 October

• S&P -8 pts or -0.5% to 1694
• Dow -78 pts or -0.5% to 15158
• Nasdaq -16 pts or 0.4% to 3775

S&P showed down as far as -10 pts in early trading but has bounced slightly to -7 as I’m writing. As I pointed out in the comments we could be looking to US stocks for direction in currencies today. So far the fact it hasn’t posted a big drop is lending some support to the buck.
