Administration will be attacking China
On Sunday, a little-seen report said the White House was planning some kind of information broadside against China.
Today, that's ringing true.
Trump: "Regrettably, we found that China has been attempting to interfere in our upcoming 2018 election...They do not want me or us to win because I am the first president ever to challenge China on trade."
"We're not just going to let Russia be the bogeyman," one White House official was quoted as saying in the initial report. "It's Russia and China."
Expect a heavy dose of anti-China rhetoric in the weeks ahead. The plan is to outline details of what China is doing in terms of cyber theft.
The point here is that it's about to get ugly.
