The US stocks got hammered intraday with the Dow down -250 points at one point, the S&P down about -28 points and the Nasdaq down over -100 points. The ending numbers were not nearly as bad:
- Dow industrial average fell -101.42 points for -0.43% at 23461.94
- S&P index closed down -9.75 points or -0.38% at 2584.62
- NASDAQ composite index fell -39.063 or -0.58% at 6750.05
Those declines are certainly not near what happened intraday helping to make a down day, seem more like an "up, down day" (if that makes sense).
Disney is reporting a miss on the top and bottom lines after the close. Disney stock is down about -4% at $98.70.
nVidia - a stock up over 100% this year - is also scheduled to release after the close.
