Coming up from Japan today, the labour ministry panel will recommend that the national average minimum hourly wage be lifted
- by a record 26 yen to 874 yen
The labour market in Japan is tight, with unemployment very low. This might drag a few back into the jobs markets. The admin, and BOJ, will also be hoping it boosts consumption and thus the economy and, hush, be still my beating heart …. inflation?
