The latest estimate
We just got the first look at Q3 GDP but that doesn't mean it's too early to start speculating about the fourth quarter.
The latest Atlanta Fed GDPNow estimate is for 4.5% growth, up from the initial estimate of 2.9%.
"The forecasts of real consumer spending growth and real private fixed investment growth increased from 2.8 percent and 4.4 percent, respectively, to 4.1 percent and 8.8 percent, respectively, after this morning's Manufacturing ISM Report On Business from the Institute for Supply Management," the report said.
The bad news is that this series tends to start high and track lower.
