RBA governor Philip Lowe will be giving a speech in Canberra
Lowe will be presenting the Sir Leslie Melville Lecture, an annual public lecture held in honour of the late Sir Leslie Melville and is hosted by the ANU.
It is a lecture that seeks to reflect the legacy of the late economist himself and his contributions to public and official affairs. The title of Lowe's presentation will be "Some Echoes of Melville", so it should for the most part encompass the scope above.
Given that, I wouldn't expect any major remarks centering on monetary policy, economic outlook or the RBA's next steps ahead of next week's meeting on 5 November.
