Heads up: Central bank speakers in the session ahead

There are a couple of central bank speakers on the agenda today

Here is the list:

0730 GMT - ECB vice president Luis de Guindos speaks in Frankfurt

de Guindos will be delivering the opening remarks at the 14th joint ECB/CEPR labour market workshop. The event carries the title "Labour markets in the digital era". I don't expect him to touch much on monetary policy here but he could make a mention or two on the economy.

0905 GMT - RBA deputy governor Guy Debelle speaks in Sydney

Debelle will be speaking at the Australian Business Economists' annual dinner, which is themed "Lessons and questions from the global financial crisis". I wouldn't expect anything new to come from Debelle or the RBA at this juncture as they enter their recess period until February next year.

1000 GMT - BOE deputy governor Dave Ramsden speaks in London

Ramsden will be speaking at the ISO 20022 conference later. The text will be released for his speech but I don't expect much to come from this as the event pertains more to the payments/financial system.

To summarise, don't hold your breath for any significant monetary policy comments to come from the speeches above.
