EUR/USD holds up after comments from Portugal

The Portuguese secretary of state, reacting to a report from the IMF, says that the Portuguese state is not sustainable as it is currently. In addition:

  • We need to build a state that doesn’t weigh as much
  • Reform of the state is crucial for sustainability

EUR/USD has taken the comments in stride and trades a shade firmer in the mid1.3050s.
