Just a few headlines conveyed via Bloomberg from the China press today:
China Securities Journal:
- China's mid-year liquidity better than expected
- PBOC to keep liquidity stable, unlikely to tighten
Economic Information Daily:
- PBOC very likely to follow the Fed to raise open market rate
There had been warnings over tightening liquidity leading up to mid-year but this seems less of a concern.
Meanwhile, CNY has stabilised a lot since its gains early in the year:
A steady yuan diminishes fear and the likelihood of large capital outflows.
