The Services PMI comes in at 53.1 from an expected 51.4 and August result at 51.5

For the Composite PMI, comes in at 52.1 from 52.0 in August

A solid headline result for services, and its best for 3 months

But a little mixed in the details:

• better new orders (also at its fastest rise in 3 months0, 52.4 vs. 51.7 in August
• employment sub index into contraction, at 49.0, its first dip under 50 since July 2016
