Brexit: Majority of UK’s 500 largest companies expect economic condition to decline

I posted earlier from a Financial Times survey of economists:

• FT: Brexit uncertainty expected to hit business investment, consumers in 2019

More again from the FT, along similar lines:

74 per cent pessimistic about the year ahead

• up from 66 per cent last year
• 8 per cent expect improvements this year

An increasing number of business leaders also said they thought the prospect of Brexit was worse today than they predicted 12 months ago

• 67 per cent saying their company was worse off, compared with 56 per cent a year ago
