It is a bit wall-to-wall FOMC previews isn't it? And, yeah, mea culpa ...
But, there will be life after the FOMC, whatever the outcome ...
On Thursday morning (19 March 2015 NZ time) in New Zealand we'll get Q4 GDP data, its due at 2145GMT (18 March 2015):
- For the q/q, expected is +0.8%, prior was +1.0%
- For the y/y , expected is +3.4%, prior was +3.2%
We heard from Westpac earlier (re their forecast for the Fonterra milk payout), where they said the GDP may come in slightly better as the NZ drought is not as bad as they had thought (I'm sure some of the farmers there would disagree, but there you go) .... so the risk might be for a slightly better figure. I'll check the 'expected' again in the morning ahead of the release and update. All assuming Yellen doesn't do a Volcker and hike the Fed funds rate to 17% or something (its OK, I'm joking ... whoops too late for the text reading algos ;-) )

Also on Thursday, but much, much later, the Swiss National Bank policy board meet .... I did a mini-preview here: Everyone's favourite central bank also have a meeting this week .... what to expect
That's coming up at 0830GMT (19 March 2015)
