- Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Bullock will hold her press conference an hour later.
Nomura senior economist Andrew Ticehurst expects a cut of 25bp. Further out:
- RBA is unlikely to cut interest rates twice in a row in April 2025.
- He said that the RBA's messaging will likely be cautious.
- He said that any further policy easing depends on future inflation developments, which are still unknown.
- Ticehurst said that the RBA will likely note that "welcome progress" is being made in its battle to return inflation to target.
