AUD/USD little changed after the Reserve Bank of Australia Statement

Statement summary:

• RBA Statement, the Bank sees inflation above the top of its target band right through 2023

It seems market perceptions of RBA rate cuts ahead for the middle of next year are quite misplaced, given the headline and core CPI forecasts issued by the Bank in the Statement.

Then again, RBA forecasts are not usually very close to what happens.
