Carney was supposed to speak in Boston
BOE Governor Mark Carney is in Boston today and was scheduled to speak about the Global Financial Crisis but the event was dropped from the calendar.
Evidently, it was made a closed-door event at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
I'm shocked the BOE would give Carney the green-light to speak in private. They've run into trouble in the past by giving info in private and afterwards they promised to make all speeches public.
h/t to Reuters reporter Andy Bruce for the note.
