Added to the list of upcoming events at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand is a speech from Deputy Governor Geoff Bascand, and Head of Risk Assessment and Assurance Steve Gordon.
Scheduled for 24 June 8.30am local time (that will be 2030GMT on June 23).
The subject matter is “Innovation and Risk Tolerance: Insights from Executive Management in the Reserve Bank and Statistics NZ” to an event in Wellington. Sounds like its going to be non interesting for the FX market, but Bascand may well make remarks on the economy and monetary policy and maybe even the currency, if asked.
The RBNZ doesn’t always advise of upcoming speeches, saying they will do so “where possible”. Yeah, it must be real hard keeping track. But, hey, thanks for advising of this one.
