RBNZ says it is open to increasing the size of QE - citing a rapidly evolving situation

Reserve Bank of New Zealand Assistant Governor Hawkesby in an interview:

• urges banks to step up in corporate bond market
• buying LGFA should help corporate bond market
• considering other assets for QE, linkers on the list
• there's a limit to how much of bond mkt RBNZ can buy
• RBNZ didn't know exact size of Q4 govt bond issuance
• says RBNZ 'very open' to changing size of QE program
