Bloomberg reports that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand has appointed two new external monetary policy advisers
- Tony Caughey, Conor English the new part-time external monetary policy advisers
- Replace Luke Moriarty & Richard Townsend
- Appointees take part in the provision of advice to the RBNZ's Governing Committee leading up to the setting of the Official Cash Rate (which happens 8 times a year)
- Governor of the RBNZ Graeme Wheeler says advisers "bring valuable additional outside perspectives into our processes"
