RBA's Lowe: Suspects unemployment rate could go to 4.5% without generating wage pressures

Further comments by RBA governor Philip Lowe on the day

  • Starting to get concerned about credit supply
  • Risk of swing from too loose credit to too tight

The potential worry to credit there isn't really a sign of confidence, coupled with his comments on the housing market earlier here. That's not too encouraging if they're looking to set out the view that they will be looking to hike rates next instead of cutting them.

AUD/USD has been dragged to a session low of 0.7263 now as dollar demands returns.
