Still awaiting remarks from RBNZ Governor Orr, but we've had plenty on the NZ dollar already:
- RBNZ's Bascand says lower rates may be needed
- NZ Q3 CPI 0.7% q/q (vs. expected 0.6%) and 1.5% y/y (vs. expected 1.4%)
The details of the NZ CPI were quite strong, in addition to the headline beats.
NZD was marked up immediately and has so far retraced a little form its overnight high:
