NZD traders heads up for a busy week of data, RBNZ and the government budget this week

Plenty on the agenda from New Zealand this week and of likely impact on the NZ dollar.

From the RBNZ on the 29th of May 2019 (local time), the bank's Financial Stability Report

  • in GMT time it'll be due on 28th May at 2100GMT
  • there is a news conference in conjunction with the release, 28 May at 2300GMT
  • Governor Orr will be answering question parliament on the report, May 29 at 0110GMT

On the data agenda the major items this week are:

  • 29 May 0100GMT ANZ's business survey for May, business activity and confidence. Business confidence in NZ collapsed and has shown some rebound only:
New Zealand business confidence
  • 29 May 2245GMT April building permits

And, the government budget:

  • 30 May 2019 at 0200GMT
  • 30 May 2000 GMT New Zealand Finance Minister Grant Robertson will speak on the budget
