Goldman Sachs preview the RBA monetary policy meeting September 7 - Expect QE taper plan to remain

Reserve Bank of Australia policy meeting preview from Goldman Sachs.

GS says the RBA will discuss delaying taper:

  • its inconceivable that consideration of a delay to tapering would not be on the September meeting agenda

However, GS say the arguments Governor Lowe made for tapering remain valid. GS expect the plan announced in July for a September taper will remain unchanged.
