Economic data due from NZ and Australia today, plus the RBA

The main focus will be on the Reserve Bank of Australia monetary policy decision today (0430GMT)

I'll be back with a preview of what to expect (spoiler: no change in rates today and likely stronger language to jawbone the AUD lower), but here are a few I've posted already:

  • Westpac - We expect that the Board will decide to hold rates steady
  • CommSec are a no also: fewer reasons for the Reserve Bank to even be thinking about cutting interest rates
  • More detail from CBA: RBA is on hold
  • 'Shadow' central banking, RBA style (No cut on Tuesday!)

Also today:

  • 2200GMT - New Zealand - NZIER Business Opinion Survey
  • 2330GMT - Australia - AiG Services PMI for March, prior of 51.8
  • 2330GMT - Australia - ANZ weekly consumer sentiment, prior was 114.5
  • 0130GMT - Australia - trade balance for February, expected is a deficit of 2500m, prior was -2937m
