Results of the latest BOE bond buying efforts
The BOE reports that the cover ratio in the latest operation in +15 year gilts was 4.14 compared to 2.08 in the most-recent operation.
The idea is that lots of bonds were submitted for sale, which may indicate that someone is trying to unload.
Gilt yields and cable are higher after the results, which are here. The FTSE has also turned lower.
Overall, the BOE bought £1,169.9 of bonds today.
