The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) will announce the outcome of its monetary policy board meeting at 0300GMT.
No change in the cash rate is the consensus expectation, I haven’t seen any analyst expecting a rate change.
On the accompanying statement, most expect very little will change in it, but there is a two-way market in the outliers; for example Goldman’s say ” a risk remains that the central bank could surprise markets with a slightly dovish tilt”, while ING say “we do not expect any dovish bias”.

My views on the announcement and accompanying statement are here
But, if that’s TL;DR … the short version is:
- Very little chance of a rate cut (I put it at just 15%)
- I expect a slightly more dovish lean in the statement
