The major US stock indices are down for the 2nd consecutive day with the rotation out of the NASDAQ stocks leading the declines. The NASDAQ index is down -0.70%. The S&P index is down -0.50% and the Dow industrial average is down -0.38%.
Oracle announced a $15 billion debt offering before the open and its shares are down sharply as a result. There is currently trading at $300.44 down -$13.40 or -4.27%.
Nvidia shares are trading down -1.51%. Micron shares are down -4.43%, AMD is down was 1.31% and Broadcom shares are down -0.63%.
Looking at the 11 components of the S&P index, information technology (-1.08%) is the biggest the decliner followed by telecommunication services (-1.03%). Energy (+1.96%) and utilities (+0.63%) are largest gainers.
