Major indices hit the skids once again
The major indices are opening below their 2017 closing levels as the skid continues for the US equity markets:
- The S&P is down -40.55 points at 2650.78. The 2017 close was at 2673.61
- The Nasdaq is down -157 points or -2.21% at 6875. The 2017 close was at 6903.
- The Dow is down -394 points or -1.58% at 24600. The 2017 close was at 24719
In other markets,
- Spot gold is up $1 or 0.09% at $1225.21
- WTI crude oil is down -$1.35 or -2.4% at $55.84
US yields are mixed with the yield curve flattening a bit
