S&P at 2800
The US stock indices traded back (and in some cases) to the session highs.
- The S&P moved to a high of 2804.12. The earlier high for the day reached 2802.60.
- The Nasdaq is trading at a new session high (reached 7573.21
- The Dow is up 55 point at 26147. A new high of 26155 was recently reached
The major indices opened lower but was boosted by a relatively dovish Powell testimony and better data out of Richmond Fed, Building permits (housing starts were not better) and consumer confidence.
