Records again for the S&P and Nasdaq
The US stocks are ending with solid gains on the back of an agreement with US and Mexico on trade. Both the S&P and the Nasdaq are closing at record levels for the 2nd consecutive day.
- The S&P rose 21.99 points or 0.76% at 2896.68. The high reached 2898.25. The low extended to 2884.69
- The Nasdaq rose 72.91 points or 0.91% at 8017.89. The high reached 8024.93. The low extended to 7976.60
- The Dow is closing up 1.01% at 26049.78. The high reached 26067. The low extended to 25882.
Financials were strong today on the back of higher yields and steeper yield curve:
- Goldman Sachs rose 3.2%
- Citigroup rose 2.43%
- PNC financial rose 1.97%
- J.P. Morgan rose 1.77%
- Charles Schwab rose 1.64%
- Bank of America rose 1.36%

- Alibaba, up 3.82%
- Caterpillar, up 2.7%
- micron, up 2.7%
- Celgene, up 1.77%
- Alphabet, up 1.73%
