Strong gains for the week too
US stocks do it again. New records for the three major indices. Strong gains for the week too:
- The S&P index is closing of 18.94 points or 0.70% at 2742.94
- The NASDAQ composite index is closing up 58.644 points or 0.83% at 7136.559
- The Dow industrial average is closing up 220.26 points or 0.88% at 25295.39
For the trading week:
- The S&P index is up 2.59%
- The NASDAQ composite index is up 3.38%
- The Dow Jones industrial average is up 2.33%
As good as the US stock was this week, the global markets did just as well or better
- German DAX rose 3.11%
- Spain's Ibex rose 3.66%
- Italy's FTSE MIB rose 4.16%
- Japan's Nikkei index rose 4.17%
- Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 2.99%
