Alphabet's big beat pushes tech and the big cap shares higher.
The US stocks are open and the major indices are sharply higher. Alphabet earnings beat big and that is helping to push the Nasdaq to record highs once again:
- The Nasdaq is up 71 points or 0.90% at 7913
- The S&P is up 16 points or 0.57% at 2823.23
- The Dow is up 122 points or 0.49% at 25168
Some winners:
- Alphabet is up 4.31%
- Caterpillar is up 2.64%
- Celgene is up 2.33%
- Alibaba is up 1.83%
- Facebook is up 1.82%
- Micron is up 1.82%
- Amazon is up 1.41%
- Boeing is up 1.36%
- Intel is up 1%
All are beating the market today.
