Small cap Russell 2000 closes at a record high
The US stocks are closing higher with the broad indices trading near the middle of their low-high trading ranges.
- The S&P index is closing up 11.04 points or 0.41% at 2722.49. The high reached 2727.76 The low extended to 2712.17
- The Nasdaq index is closing up 46.67 points or 0.63% at 7398.29. The high reached 7413.31. The low extended to 7356.16.
- The Dow is closing up 62 points or 0.25% at 24769. The high reached 24801.15. The low extended to 24672.79.
The small cap Russell 2000 index was the star performing. It closed at a record level at 1616.54, up over 1% on the day.
Cisco will report earnings after the close. The expectations are for $0.65 per share on revenues of 12.43 billion.
Walmart will report earnings before the opening tomorrow morning.
