Major indices opening with gains
The Nasdaq is leading the upside moves on the opening for the major US stock indices:
- The Nasdaq is higher by 27 points or 0.36% at 7357
- The S&P is up by 5.5 points or 0.20% at 2726
- The Dow industrial average is up about 57 points or 0.23% at 24931
The major indices are off their high prices on early selling.
In the US debt market yields are mixed:
- 2 year 2.244%, up 0.6 basis points
- five-year 2.645%, unchanged
- 10 year 2.873%, -1.0 basis points
- 30 year 3.131%, -2.1 basis points
