USDJPY moves to new highs. EURUSD tests key support area (new NY session lows)
The USDJPY moved to a new session high after the meeting minutes were released. The high reached 110.717 taking out the prior high at 110.70 The price is back down to 110.654 (and traded to a low of 110.62). The 100 hour MA is in between at 110.655.
For the EURUSD, the pair moved to a low of 1.1671. The 1.1671 to 1.1678 is home to the 50% retracement, 200 bar MA on the 4-hour and a broken trend line. We trade near the lowest level now at 1.1671. Will it hold? It needs to get back above the 1.1678 to take some of the selling pressure off (see prior post on the EURUSD here).
Stocks have moves a little lower with S&P up 13.75 points. The Nasdaq is up 53.3 points or 0.71%). The S&P was up 18 points and the Nasdaq was up 63 points before the data.
US yields are down a smidgen from pre-release levels.
