Off pre-market highs at the open
The US major indices are opening with modest gains. The premarket hype did not pan out as sellers took the futures off highs into the opening.
The snapshot NOW shows:
- S&P index up 7 points or 0.26% at 2553
- NASDAQ up 12.9 points or 0.19% at 6797
- Dow up 58 points or 0.25% to 23740
In the US debt market, yields remain mixed with small gains in the short end and small declines in the longer end.
