S&P and Dow also close with gains
The Nasdaq index is closing up 52.129 points or 0.69% at 7606.46. The high reached 7607.17. The low extended to 7561. The strong day higher was good for a record close for the index - taking out the prior high close at 7588.33. FYI, the all time high price intraday is up at the 7637.27 (from March 13th).
The other major indices also closed higher.
- The S&P closed at 2746.87 up 12.25 points or 0.45%
- The Dow closed at 24813 up 178.48 points or 0.72%.

- Twitter continues to march higher. It closed up 3.47% at $37.92
- Nvidia move up 2.81%
- Gilead was up 2.8%
- Alibaba rose 2.22%
- Home Depot rose 2.14%
- Alphabet rose 1.77%
- Amazon was up 1.45%
- Delta air rose 1.43%
- American Express rose 1.21%
It was an eclectic group that showed gains today.

After the close, Howard Schultz is stepping down as Starbucks Executive chairman. Starbucks stock price is down about -$1.00 or -1.65% at $56.
