May is a struggle for the euro
The euro has broken the 200-day moving average and 1.20 just in time for May.
If you're looking for a signal about what's next, May is the worst month on the calendar for the euro. It's fallen an average of 1.95% against the dollar in May over the past decade including losses in 8 of those.
One of the gains, however, came last year. It's notable that the euro was in a bear market for most of that 10-year period.
That said, there isn't much going right for the euro at the moment. The economic data has been poor and specs are increasingly offside.
