Haven't closed below since November 2017
Be aware.
The GBPUSD is lower on the day and the move lower has tested the 100 week MA at 1.3067. The last time the price has closed a week below the longer term MA was back in November 2017. The low earlier today reached 1.30648 and bounced. We are heading back down to retest the key MA now. We trade at 1.3073 currently.
Back in October 2017 to November 2017, there were also a number of swing lows in the 1.30264-1.30608 area. A move below the 100 week moving average would look toward those levels too.
If you are short, this is an area that buyers may look to take some profit with stops below.
