Headline from Vice Premier
The China vice premier Liu is on the wire saying:
- China and Japan should protect free trade and also the multi lateral system
No comment on China/US relations.
The US review of an additional $200 or so billion of tariffs will be over shortly and at that time the US will likely add to the tariffs against China. Wilbur Ross said yesterday that the meetings last week did not yield much progress on the "trade spat" which may grow to a "trade brawl" with $200B more in tariffs.
