Cable rises from the lows near 1.3000 to hit a high of 1.3090
There's plenty of rumours flying about now that it's going to be a close vote and that Labour lawmakers as well as the likes of Dominic Raab are potentially ready to back May's deal in the vote later today. That is seeing the pound rise to session highs on the day after having hit a low of 1.3004 earlier in the session.
The pound fell earlier as traders believed that May was surely out for the count but just like on previous occasions, her Brexit deal just cannot be laid to rest.
I still reckon it's not enough for her to get a win later today. But if she loses by a margin of 10-20 votes, you can bet that we could be seeing another round of votes on her deal again over the next two weeks.
