The US is being battered by winter weather.
A major storm forecast last week fizzled but a few inches of snow fell today in New York with another foot hitting Boston (after two feet of snow last week) and lighter snow stretching all the way to Chicago. It will be followed up by a week of cold temperatures.
On Thursday, another foot of snow will hit Boston and then on the weekend, another 6-12 inches is forecast for Boston and New York.
Winter weather was blamed for a blip in US Q1 GDP last year and it could be some of the same this year.
