Elon Musk yesterday became the first individual to ever have a net worth of $500 billion but today that number is a tad lower.
Shares soared as high as $479 in the pre-market but have sank since the open down to $339 last. That's a 9% decline from the pre-market highs and 4% on the day.
For the remainder of the day, the spot to watch is the daily chart. Tesla has had an incredible run from $360, something I flagged as it broke out of a long-term consolidation. It's overbought now though and vulnerable to profit taking. A close today below $440 would put an outside bearish day on the chart and point to a deeper decline, perhaps to $400-$410.
