US equity markets are now lower on the day as a wave of profit taking hits. Gold has similarly reversed down to $3836 after hitting a record $3896 earlier.
Some of the highest-flying stocks are being sold. Tesla is now down 1.6% on the day and 6% from the pre-market highs after it reported stronger sales.

Nvidia is helping to cushion the blow. It's up 1.2% after hitting a record at $191.05 shorlty after the open. It's off the highs and is a critical spot to watch as the market's mettle is tested.
Over in FX, the signs aren't great as broad US dollar buying hits. I take that as validation of angst in markets
