The mood music is looking more positive as investors are hoping for the end of the US government shutdown to happen soon. That's keeping markets cheerful and in the case of European equities, there's also some catching up to do from Friday. Regional indices ended lower, missing out on the late and surging bounce in Wall Street. So, there's that alongside the more optimistic mood today with S&P 500 futures seen up 0.7% currently.
