It's a stuttering start to the new month with US futures dropping further as we get into things in Europe. The mood is weighed down by the US government shutdown, prompting some relative uncertainty on the week with regards to the upcoming US data releases. In particular, the key one will be a delay to the jobs report on Friday. S&P 500 futures are now down 0.8%, poised to erase the gains from the start of the week.
