European indices marked down at the open as investors turn more cautious

  • Germany DAX -0.5%
  • France CAC 40 -0.6%
  • UK FTSE -0.4%
  • Spain IBEX -0.7%
  • Italy FTSE MIB -0.4%

US futures are also just a touch lower on the day, down 0.1% currently, after the selling and profit-taking yesterday. The optimism from Monday has certainly cooled and European indices are now lower on the week. The DAX itself is now down over 1% on the month.
